This is a great product if you are looking to send out information to others. This will be a plugin that you can put into your website and will pop up either when visited or when they click on a specific link. This works really great when you are trying to send out brochures or pamphlets and have an email of the individual or group that contacted you for said information.
Mailchimp sign-up form requires some HTML knowledge. While the easy to use service allows you to create a sign-up form quickly, once the code for it is generated you will need HTML knowledge to embed it into your website. Normal sign-up forms are hosted on Mailchimp's website, so your readers will be directed to their servers to fill out the forms unless you make the effort to embed it.
This is not an AWeber-specific issue, these changes impact anyone using an email service provider with a sender address from Gmail, Yahoo!, AOL, Zendesk, rocketmail.com, and ymail.com. So if you use ANY third-party mailing service (such as AWeber or any of our competitors) to send emails for you on behalf they will also need to change the "From" address you send with or your emails will not be delivered.

Tom: Yeah so, I think one of the problems that we see with AWeber, is because we are an older piece of software. We’ve been around since ’98. When you log in, there’s so much that you can do, because we have a lot of different features, right? So, you can either draft your first one time email, you can jump right in and set up your automated campaign, you can create your sign up form, you can import your subscribers from another ESP, or if you have another list somewhere else. So, it’s kind of a, “Choose your own adventure” that happens when you first log in and you set up that initial account. So, I think for customers who may be overwhelmed with email marketing and kind of the, “where should I go on the map?”, type of feeling, what we’ve done is, we have basically an onboarding email series that drips out over the course of 30 days during your free trial.

Yeah, I could probably pay a coder to write an app that allows their API to be single optin, etc, but why? I’d still want to have the ability to add people manually and have them automatically sign into my list. For example, I’m going to start doing some seminars locally. I want to be able to come home and add the 25 people to my email list…easily.
I've used quite a few other email platforms for mass emails and I have found that AWeber doesn't offer as much customization with creating emails. I like to create my own format for emails, and it's a little more difficult in AWeber than some other platforms. It's more of a basic service. I also am not impressed with the home page for the sole reason of not having the key things that I like to see when I first get to a landing page. This is more of a personal preference.
